A few things to know.
What is Rydell Robotics?
An independent early-stage research and development initiative focused on accessible personal robotics, local artificial intelligence, and open, adaptable systems.
What is being developed first?
The Rydell Droid Runtime: a proposed local speech, language, and behavioral foundation for future droids. Its initial architecture candidates have not yet been validated.
Are robots or software available to buy?
No finished products are commercially available. The development pages describe engineering objectives and planned platforms, not release announcements.
Will a droid speak English aloud?
Spoken English output is not required. RDR is intended to process natural language internally and express conversational intent through electronic beeps, whistles, and robotic behaviors.
Is the companion droid already built?
No working prototype is claimed. The companion is a planned physical platform dependent on the development of the underlying runtime.
How can I get in touch?
